MINSK, 26 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Georgia President Salome Zourabichvili as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Over the years of sovereignty your country has made significant progress in strengthening its statehood and raising its authority in the international arena, playing an important role in developing the region and maintaining peace in the Caucasus,” said the head of state.
The message of greetings says that the longstanding relations between Minsk and Tbilisi are based on traditions of mutual respect and constructive partnership, which contributes to building close ties in various areas.
“We invite you to make better use of the existing potential in industry, agriculture, construction, pharmaceuticals and the humanitarian sector,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
