MINSK, 21 July (BelTA) - On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed condolences to Iraqi President Barham Salih and the victims' loved ones over an inhumane terrorist attack in a market in the city of Baghdad, which resulted in numerous civilian casualties, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Belarus strongly condemns terrorism and extremism in all forms and manifestations. We call on the international community to take effective steps to confront these dangerous challenges of our time,” stressed the head of state.

"I share your sorrow and hope for a speedy recovery of all the wounded and for the establishment of a lasting peace and civil accord in Iraq,” the message of condolences reads.
