MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the staff of the Grodno State Agrarian University on the 70th anniversary of the university, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
“Your Alma Mater has trained more than 40,000 specialists in agronomy, zootechnics, veterinary medicine and processing industry. These people have made a huge contribution to the development of agriculture in our country,” the message of greetings reads. The Belarusian leader added that many university graduates have been honored with high state awards, including the titles of Hero of Socialist Labor and Hero of Belarus.
“I am convinced that the new generation of students, who learn science in university classrooms today, will determine the image and achievements of the Belarusian agro-industrial complex of tomorrow - one of the priority industries for the state,” stressed Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The president wished the staff of the Grodno State Agrarian University strong health, happiness, creative success and new labor achievements for the benefit of the Fatherland.
