MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – The most important matter for people is jobs and wages. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during the government conference held on 10 September to discuss topical domestic policy matters and preparations for political campaigns, BelTA has learned.
Heads of the chambers of the parliament, the head of the Belarus President Administration, the state secretary of the Security Council, heads of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and the State Security Committee (KGB) took part in the meeting.
As for the handling of people’s petitions, in Belarus the work is systemic and the system is available absolutely to any person, Aleksandr Lukashenko stated. The president reminded that a major seminar was held in 2022 to update forms and methods of interacting with the population. Directive No.2 was expanded and revised. Members of the parliament work actively in the regions: they interact with the population a lot and help people resolve concrete issues. The Belarus President Administration uses new, unconventional methods of work.
“But you shouldn’t forget that the most important matter is jobs and wages. Whatever we may say after these receptions,” the head of state pointed out. “I observe and see when civil servants make reports on the important work they have done and on what they have passed either in front of me on television or in front of someone else. But don’t forget about the key matters. Otherwise, all of it will remain idle talk.”
