Lukashenko: Dialogue between generations is always interesting

MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) - Dialogue between generations is always interesting, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he spoke at the open lesson "Historical memory - the road to the future" on 1 September, BelTA has learned.

The head of state said that his task as President is not to share with young people the knowledge of a historian by his first education or even his personal view of current events, but primarily his political experience. That is why the theme of today's open lesson is “Historical Memory - the Road to the Future”. “It is relevant both in the context of the Year of Historical Memory and in the context of recent events in Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and the world as a whole. The last thing I would like is for our communication to turn into a classic lecture,” the president said.

“Dialogue between generations is always interesting. It goes on all life and every day. As you can guess it goes on at your home, and at mine, too. Today, given the format of today's meeting, we can say that it will be heard throughout the country. I understand that you are very different, that you all have your own opinions, and that your civic outlook is shaped. Believe me, it is not yet complete. Life will correct many of your views and will make you revisit certain events more than once,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
