MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko answered the question of how to become a member of his team during a Q&A session titled “Open Microphone with the President” at Minsk State Linguistic University on 22 November, BelTA has learned.
"You must be an educated person, professional and a patriot of your country," the head of state said.
According to him, you also need to "have remarkable abilities" to win competition with other top officials. For example, with the head of the President Administration Dmitry Krutoi or Education Minister Andrei Ivanets. "They are very strong people," the Belarusian leader said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also stressed that he does not have a clan approach to forming his team. As one of the examples, he cited the example of Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova, whom the head of state did not know before she was appointed to high positions. "If you are a patriot, a profession, then you are welcome to my team," the president voiced his main principle.

"The same is true for the prime minister. When appointing the prime minister, the principle is the same: a patriot, a professional. Everything is honest and fair. You have to be willing, be a patriot and be a professional. You cannot do without these qualities," the president added.
