MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – Vladimir Zelensky may turn out to be a traitor to his own country in the future. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement in an extended version of the recent interview with the TV channel Rossiya. The extended version was aired by the TV channel Belarus One in the evening, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I have always told Vladimir Zelensky: listen, once the government over there [in the USA] changes, the new leader may refuse to honor old arrangements. It has always been like that. This is why let’s build relations on the basis of our interests and principles. They don’t understand. Well, one cannot get them to realize it if you did god knows what, went into politics, and you are not ready for it. And you love money on top of that. England may give you a bit of money and tell you to buy a vacant manor with this money. And he will live there with [Vladimir Zelensky’s wife] Yelena and kids and rejoice.”
“But you will not feel joy. You will be a traitor to your people. And in the end, for instance, [the head of the Central Intelligence Office of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry] Kirill Budanov will send someone to eliminate you as a traitor. End of story. You cannot rule out this possibility. A disaster,” the Belarus president added.
