Lukashenko congratulates Vietnam’s new President To Lam 

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated newly-elected President To Lam of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The significant support of your candidacy by the members of the National Assembly is evidence of the recognition of your rich life experience, political competencies and ability to assume the functions of the head of state, to make important decisions and bear responsibility for them. I am sure that you will justify the high trust placed in you by the people, and I hope that you will find time in your busy work schedule for our bilateral cooperation," the message of greetings reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that in December 2023, a Belarusian government delegation led by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko was in the Vietnamese capital. "I will be very grateful for your support and attention to  the implementation of the economic cooperation agreements. We look forward to welcoming you to the hospitable Belarusian land to take stock of the Belarusian-Vietnamese relations and discuss further steps to maintain the continuity of the course between Minsk and Hanoi," the president stressed.

The head of state wished To Lam good health and successes in the implementation of professional plans.
