MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian nation and himself personally Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam on getting elected to the position of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The congratulation reads: “I am confident that Your many years of experience, great respect, personal and professional qualities will allow successfully accomplishing all the tasks.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that under To Lam’s leadership the continued implementation of the policy aimed at dynamic development and stronger security of the country, growing prosperity of the Vietnamese nation, the realization of foreign policy interests, a greater role and place of Vietnam in the international scene will be the best way to honor the memory of the previous General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.

“I reaffirm Belarus’ adherence to further advancement of relations with Vietnam on the basis of traditional friendship, trust, and mutual understanding. I hope for the continuation of our interaction, the realization of reached agreements, and the determination of new promising avenues of bilateral cooperation in various areas. I will be glad to welcome You in the hospitable Belarusian land,”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished To Lam strong health, strength, energy, and success in responsible party work and statesmanship.
