MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Emomali Rahmon on the 30th anniversary of assuming the office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"This event at the start of the turbulent 1990s was truly crucial for your country. You once said ‘I will bring you peace’ and have delivered on your promise. Tajikistan also regained stability, national unity and confidence in the future. You have delivered on the promise to your people," the head of state noted.
The president also emphasized: "I very much value our friendship and the possibility to find a solution to even the most difficult issues. I sincerely respect your resilience and courage, which are the key to the progressive development and strengthening of fraternal relations between Minsk and Dushanbe. Remember that the door of hospitable Belarus is always open and I am looking forward to seeing you again."
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health, vigor, success in serving his Fatherland to Emomali Rahmon and peaceful sky, prosperity and wealth to the people of Tajikistan.
