MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on his Name Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Your patron, Saint Cyril Equal of the Apostles, started the enlightenment movement in the Slavic land. Continuing his great mission, you dedicated your life to serving people and the Church, preserving and strengthening traditional values, and promoting moral values among the youth,” the message of congratulations reads.
The head of state noted that Patriarch Kirill has earned the well-deserved authority of a religious figure and theologian, whose daily spiritual work helps unite believers and promote the high ideals of Christianity.
