Lukashenko congratulates medalists of IAAF World Athletics Championships Arzamasova, Talay

MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent his best greetings to the medalists of the 2015 IAAF World Athletics Championships Marina Arzamasova and Alina Talay who won medals at the world competition in Beijing, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The entire country was watching your performance. You have become the best on the planet and today the whole world hails your success. Thank you for the great sports mastery and the will to win. You have proved once again that a Belarusian woman is a pillar of our society, the beauty and pride of our Motherland. I sincerely wish you and the whole national track-and-field team strong health, happiness and good luck,” the head of state said in a message of greetings to Marina Arzamasova.

“It was very good! Persistent training and hard work helped you be a success. We know that you have even more ambitious goals and we believe that you can fulfill all your dearest sports dreams,” the head of state said in a message of greetings to Alina Talay.

On 29 August Marina Arzamasova won the 800m race. Alina Talay won a bronze medal in 100m hurdles.
