Lukashenko congratulates Kadzimahamedau, Kaladzinskaya on winning Olympic medals

MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated members of the national freestyle wrestling team on winning medals at the Olympic Games in Tokyo - Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau (silver) and Vanesa Kaladzinskaya (bronze), BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

“In Tokyo, you had to take on exceptionally strong rivals, but you faced them with confidence. You showed excellent physique and determination to win in the final bout as well. I have no doubts that many more victories and brilliant performances are still ahead of you,” the head of state wrote in his message to Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau. The president wished the athlete strong health, good luck and wellbeing.

In his congratulations to Vanesa Kaladzinskaya, the Belarusian leader emphasized: “Despite the toughest competition you managed to reach the podium. Your performance is surely a success, and your brilliant victory in the repechage is a great proof of your talent.” Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Vanesa Kaladzinskaya good health, optimism and new achievements for her dear Belarus.

The head of state addressed special words of gratitude to the coaches and the entire national freestyle wrestling team. “You made the Republic of Belarus proud at the main sporting event of the planet. Thank you for your work, endurance and a good result,” the president noted.
