Lukashenko congratulates Ethiopia on  National Day

MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – On behalf of Belarusian people and himself Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended best wishes to President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Sahle-Work Zewde and all Ethiopians as the country celebrates its National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Your country has a rich culture and ancient history, it has earned well-deserved respect of the international community, it is actively involved in pan-African integration and is expanding its participation in new international formats,” the head of state noted.

The president believes that Belarus and Ethiopia need to make the most of the existing cooperation potential in agriculture, industry, food security. He suggested creating joint ventures, including for the production of high-tech equipment, cooperating in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, education, culture, tourism, and expanding the geography of air traffic between the two countries.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the president of Ethiopia good health, success and prosperity, and people of Ethiopia peace, solidarity and progress.
