MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his convincing victory in the presidential election in Azerbaijan. The telephone conversation took place during the head of state's visit to Tashkent. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev called their Azerbaijani counterpart together, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Ilham Aliyev good health and a lot of strength to implement everything planned for the benefit of the friendly people of Azerbaijan.
“Belarus is your reliable friend who shares approaches to building fair and equal interstate relations, strengthening security, dialogue and trust,” the president emphasized.
