Lukashenko condoles with Vietnam over Typhoon Yagi victims

MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) –  Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent condolences to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese President To Lam  over the victims of Typhoon Yagi, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The Vietnamese people have had to endure a difficult ordeal brought about by Typhoon Yagi. Unfortunately, the death toll of the disaster is increasing. And the scale of the destruction is truly painful,” the message reads.

On behalf of the Belarusians and himself, Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed heartfelt condolences to To Lam, families of the victims, and addressed words of support and solidarity to the people of Vietnam.

“I wish that all those listed as missing were rescued, and those who were displaced were able to return home soon,” the message of condolences reads.
