BOBRUISK, 17 June (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko commented on the recent visit of European leaders to Ukraine during his visit to Belshina in Bobruisk on 17 June, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out that some European leaders had paid a visit to Kiev a day before: “Scholz, Macron, the Italian prime minister. What did they come for? It is not clear yet. Europe does not need a war. Have you noticed that there was no Pole there, though they try to have a finger in every pie there. There was no English or U.S. representative, either. What was that all about is still a question. It is either Europe decided to calm the waters and put out this fire of war, or the Americans commanded them to go and support Ukrainians, Zelensky, give them weapons.”
“The second is most likely. Today the French president already said that France will supply the most advanced weapons to Ukraine. They are preparing for something there. The Russian president and I will discuss what is going on there. No one can say how events will unfold. There is still much unknown,” the president said.
