GRODNO, 19 March (BelTA) – It is important that we stay united, especially during this difficult period that the whole world is going through, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with personnel of the Molochny Mir dairy on 19 March, BelTA has learned.
"We should stay united. We have to get over it. The world has gone frenzy, and people lost their compass. At this point, we should keep our ranks strong. This is why I declared this year as the Year of People's Unity," the head of state said.
"Of course there are some people who are not happy about how things are. We have to be patient. The vast majority want to live peacefully. Sociological studies show that people are afraid of losing stability and order in the country. They are worth a lot. People have realized what they could or can lose. We should not allow this to happen," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
"We will be a united state. We are not going to bow to anyone. We are not going to kneel. We will live well if we keep our head cool," the president said. "We live as good as we can, not worse than others. Cherish your land. You will have other people as presidents. I guarantee you this. Then you will understand everything by comparing things. I call on you to be patient for now."
