MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – There should be iron discipline in agriculture, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a conference to discuss the progress in the harvest campaign on 26 July, BelTA has learned.
“Cast-iron discipline starts with heads of enterprises. We have to harvest the bread. Otherwise, we will be in trouble,” the Belarusian leader said.
He stressed that this year the production level in agriculture should not be lower than the one in 2021.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also instructed to devote August-September to the rural areas, including if necessary to provide assistance with labor resources and involve urban residents.
Another important task is to ensure proper storage of agricultural products for subsequent sale in the off-season.
