MINSK, 31 October (BelTA) - The world badly needs an honest conversation and impartial assessment of the current events, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security on 31 October, BelTA learned.
"Unfortunately, the platforms hosting open, constructive expert discussions on the topic of international security are few and far between today. We badly need an honest conversation and impartial assessment of the current events," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
According to him, organization and conduct of such a conference is almost an incredible feat today. "Effective measures to counter modern challenges and threats are needed even more. If we fail to join forces in this regard and if we fail to design and implement these measures, trouble will come," the head of state is convinced.
