MOSCOW, 11 April (BelTA) – Belarusians are capable of a lot more than Russians imagined, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told journalists in the Kremlin as he commented on the Belarusian-Russian cooperation, BelTA has learned.
"Since we are ‘aggressors’, then frankly speaking the conditions for business and for people should be equal. That's what we need. Today you (Russians) have probably seen that Belarusians can do a lot. They haven't seen this before," the Belarusian leader stressed.
"Now you have seen that we cover the needs in electronics (in a lot of things), agriculture, industry, and machine tool building (Vladimir Vladimirovich spoke about this recently). You have understood that in Belarus we have not only preserved the Soviet heritage of science, industry, and agriculture, but also modernized and improved them properly. Russia needs us very much today, just as we need Russia. Therefore, it is very important that we now equalize the conditions for people and our enterprises. This is the main question," he added.
