MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) – Authorities of all levels should do their job properly, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the meeting at the Palace of Independence on 20 October BelTA has learned.
“Listen, what sanctions are you talking about? What sanctions in Belarus? What is holding us back today? Name at least one product that we cannot sell. Russia will devour everything, except for two or three commodities. So take these two or three commodities under control. Everything else sells like hot cakes, and export prices are insanely high, which is the reason why you are rushing to export as much as possible. But do not forget that we must feed our 10 million people and 2 million visitors who come to us,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
“Another option is war. Believe me. I can't run after everyone and tell them what to do. Do your job conscientiously. Everything else is on me. And we will never fight,” the president added.
