GRODNO DISTRICT, 26 November (BelTA) – Belarus will do its best to make the life of refugees in the temporary accommodation facility easier, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he talked to refugees at the transport and logistics center near the Bruzgi checkpoint on the Belarusian-Polish border and commented on the future of this camp, BelTA has learned.
Volunteers of humanitarian missions, representatives of public organizations, Belarusian authorities and law enforcement work in the refugee camp 24/7. Aleksandr Lukashenko asked the refugees to turn to them for help, when necessary, and not to be afraid of the Belarusian law enforcement and security officers who have been deployed to keep the camp safe.
"The border guards are your friends. There is no need to be afraid of them. You can turn to them with any request,” the head of state said. “Representatives of the Minsk and Grodno administrations are present here. You can contact them with any issue. If this issue concerns me or the government, I will be notified within a day. If these are day-to-day issues, you take them to them and they will solve them. "
"We will do our best to provide you with food, clothes, drinking water, and a shower opportunity. We will do everything to make your temporary life here a bit easier," the president assured the refugees.
