MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia have made another important step in their Union State development, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during the online meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 4 November, BelTA has learned.
“25 years after the signing of the Treaty of the Community of Belarus and Russia, we are making another important step in the development of the Union State,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
At the meeting of the Supreme State Council, the parties approved a big package of integration documents. They are aimed at strengthening the economic potential of the two countries, the president said.
The head of state expressed his gratitude to the governments of Belarus and Russia for their hard and fruitful work and to all the experts who took part in preparing these documents. As chairman of the Supreme State Council, Aleksandr Lukashenko asked the members of the Supreme State Council, the governments and parliaments, the Union State Standing Committee to ensure practical implementation of the Union State programs and decisions.
