MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – By multiplying national wealth drawing on the experience of previous generations, Belarus is confidently moving forward along the path of peace and development, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a solemn event dedicated to the Day of People’s Unity, BelTA has learned.
"Having survived severe trials serious losses, by multiplying national wealth drawing on the experience of previous generations, Belarus has been confidently moving forward on the path of peace and development for 85 years," Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “Even now, when NATO guns are aimed at us from the territories of our western and southern neighbors, when kilometers of fences and minefields are growing higher and larger along the borders, we respond in a simple way and in the best traditions of the ‘last dictatorship of Europe’. We open the borders and do not require permits or visas. People on the other side hear us. They come, look, draw conclusions which are not in favor of those who forbid them to come here."
