Lukashenko: Belarus’ military industry complex is among priority high-tech sectors of economy

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants and visitors of the 12th edition of the international arms and defense technology expo MILEX 2025, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, we are holding this large-scale forum in glory of common heroes. The generation of the victors bequeathed us to cherish peace and freedom in our native land. In the name of this goal, we, the allied countries, are building up our defense potential and strengthening security cooperation. By developing the domestic military industry complex as one of the priority high-tech sectors of the economy, we are shaping the image of the state confidently standing guard over the national interests and sovereignty of the Republic of Belarus,” the message of greetings reads.

“I am convinced that the international exhibition of armaments and military equipment will let a wide range of specialists and experts get familiar with the most advanced achievements of both Belarusian manufacturers and foreign partners. May the military and technical capabilities of the state help us jointly meet the challenges of the time, ensuring a secure future for our citizens,” the president emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the participants and visitors of MILEX 2025 fruitful work, high business activity and successful implementation of new cooperation projects for the sake of peaceful development of the states.
