Lukashenko: Belarus is facing West’s largest ever hybrid pressure

MOGILEV, 28 May (BelTA) - Belarus is facing the West’s largest hybrid pressure in the modern history, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the Belarus Media Forum in Mogilev on 28 May, BelTA has learned

“We do not get complacent. On the contrary, we are maximally focused on the threats. The reasons are well-known. If I see someone getting complacent, I often remind them not to do so, otherwise we will get what we got before. We continue to be subjected to the largest hybrid pressure from the West in recent history: a political one - through the promotion of anti-Belarusian position in the international political legal field; an informational one - through the radicalization of extremist platforms; an economic one - through sanctions and adoption of new packages; a military one - through attempts to drag Belarus into military conflicts,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The president emphasized that one should be ready for any provocations, including information ones. This topic was also discussed in detail during the Belarusian People's Congress, he recalled. The Concept of National Security was approved there. The document defines internal and external sources of threats in the information field.

“Necessary decisions have been made. The legal field has been built. Measures to support the production of the national information product have been provided. Now it is time to coordinate our positions and clarify the tasks,” the head of state said.
