Lukashenko: Belarus and Russia will perform more joint space flights

 MOSCOW, 12 April (BelTA) - Russians and Belarusians will make more joint flights into space, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a joint meeting of the leaders of Belarus and Russia with Belarusian cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya, a participant of the 21st space expedition to the ISS, and pilot-cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky on 12 April, BelTA has learned.

The head of state noted that Belarus and Russia had agreed to continue cooperation in space. According to him, the Russian authorities have promised to support the Belarusian partners in the future. The interaction between the two countries in space industry was one of the topics discussed at the meeting of the two leaders in the Kremlin on 11 April.

“I think we will witness more joint flights of Russians and Belarusians into space,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
