MOSCOW, 18 February (BelTA) - Chances of the West to destroy Belarus are negligible, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the media after he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on 18 February, BelTA has learned.
“The chances of these people to destroy Belarus are negligible. They will be even more negligible in the future. They will never succeed,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The president said that the accusations that the Belarusian authorities are dictatorship and that they harass those who criticize the government are just an excuse to put pressure on the state. “No one is harassing or pressuring anyone. It is just an adequate response to attempts to stage a coup d'etat in Belarus,” the head of state said.
