SHKLOV, 9 August (BelTA) - Upon his arrival in Shklov, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko asked new head of the district Sergei Bartosh about the current situation in the region and the progress in the harvesting season. Not long ago, the current head of the district served as agriculture and food minister, BelTA has learned.
“My first impressions are as follows: the base is good, the lands are good, people just need a little more working discipline,” Sergei Bartosh said.
“This is the main thing,” the president said.
“And also technologies. This is the most important thing, too” the head of the district said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko gave the new head of the district a piece of advice on working with people: “People always have different opinions and beliefs. It is sometimes hard for them to take on new technology. I am grateful to you that you have agreed to work here. You will put things in order here. I have already received the first accounts of your work here. People say you are strict. You are right that you make demands. People can do everything."
“I traveled through the half of the district. They have tilled the soil perfectly. I have not seen this in the west. There is not even a single plant left around the poles there. They have mowed everything. I did not notice [any disorder] anywhere and I looked very carefully. They know how to do it. It should be done everywhere, not only where the president will be traveling or where you will be going yourself,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
