Lukashenko approves amendments to Belarus- Türkiye agreement on mutual visa waiver

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No.376 to approve the draft protocol on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa waiver between Belarus and Türkiye of 29 March 2013 as a basis for holding the relevant negotiations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

According to the draft international agreement, drivers and crew members of vehicles - citizens of Belarus and Türkiye, performing international transportation of goods and passengers, are exempt from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit and temporary stay in the territory of the state of the other party for up to 90 days in any 180-day period (currently - up to 30 days, but not more than 90 days a year).

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to negotiate the draft protocol and sign it.
