MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) – While the lifting of some U.S. sanctions is an important decision, it is not our primary focus, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said while receiving a report from Permanent Representative of Belarus to the United Nations Valentin Rybakov, BelTA has learned.
“The fact that they, the Americans, have begun lifting sanctions against us is something we should thank them for; it will make our work easier. This is also very important. While, as I told you, it is not the main focus of our work, we should not disregard it. It dominates the economy, and the economy is crucial for people’s livelihoods,” the head of state said.
