MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – Belarus has nothing to do with the drones that happen to fly into Poland or Lithuania. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during a ceremony held on 16 September to present government awards, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “We have nothing to do with everything that happens to fly into Poland and Lithuania today. And if we wailed as hard as they do after every time drones fly into Belarus from Ukraine, Russia, via Poland, Lithuania… We have never done it. We calmly respond via appropriate communication channels.”

“If they wailed after we shot down half of the drones without knowing who owns them… We shot them down and that’s it. We couldn’t hit several drones. We spent huge resources on destroying these drones, which had been flying to Poland, not Belarus. And they were informed how many drones and where they were flying. We didn’t know to whom they belonged either. Deal with them! They admit it. Nevertheless, they play mean tricks. It means that they have some designs. We should figure them out. We’ve figured them out. And we should counter it. Without explaining anything to anyone,” the president added.
