Isachenko appointed Belarus' National Coordinator for SDGs

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) - Marianna Shchetkina has been relieved of her position as National Coordinator for the Sustainable Development Goals. Anatoly Isachenko, deputy chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, has been appointed to this post. Relevant decree No.52 was signed by head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko on 13 February, BelTA learned from the Belarusian leader's press service.

The country set up the institute of national coordinator in May 2017. This move demonstrates the country's commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals adopted at the 2015 United Nations summit.
