MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Malta President George Vella as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“The Maltese state plays an important role in the enhancement of European security and the development of the trade and economic ties in the Mediterranean region,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state expressed hope that the agenda of Belarus-Malta relations will become more intensive and diverse. “It is essential to make decisive steps to intensify Belarus-Malta economic contacts,” the president believes. “There are significant prospects in such industries as finance, IT, digitization, transport and logistics.”
