MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – It is necessary to work out a standard for Belarusian schools that will stipulate all kinds of things starting with lesson organization and ending with what teachers and students should look like. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during the National Pedagogical Conference on 24 August, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted it will be necessary to address the fundamental matters the success of the education system hinges on. “It is not only the [education] code we've talked about. Because it is impossible for the code to accommodate everything. Just like other laws and regulations we will have to pass. Particularly those concerning the organization of things in schools,” he noted.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I want a standard to be worked out that will stipulate precise requirements starting with the organization of lessons, the observance of school etiquette and ending with the outside appearance of students and teachers. All the participants of the education process will have to observe provisions of this document unquestionably. By the way, it will help restore order in schools and in interaction with parents. It will be done to address all the disputable points or misunderstanding between the family and the school.”
