BelTA's deputy director general commended by Belarus president

MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – Belarus' President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented commendation letters to journalists for their high professionalism and considerable personal contribution to the state's information policy. Sergei Aderikho, BelTA's deputy director general for ideological work, was among the recipients of the honor, BelTA learned.

The awards ceremony took place on the Old New Year's Eve. The head of state presented the award to Yulia Beshanova, the commentator for the STV TV channel, Olga Kurishko, the TV presenter for the ONT channel, and Nadezhda Lysenko, the deputy director of the information and socio-political broadcasting directorate of the First national channel of the Belarusian Radio.

The president also conferred the award to Andrei Mukovozchik, the commentator for the Belarus Segodnya publishing house, Olga Medvedeva, an editor at the Zvyazda newspaper, and Elena Nasacheva, a correspondent for the TV News Agency of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company.

“I feel extremely grateful and fortunate to work in such a productive and highly professional team as BelTA,” Sergei Aderikho, BelTA's deputy director general for ideological work, told journalists. “BelTA maintains its leadership positions in the Belarusian media landscape. The news agency is the information partner of the most important economic, socio-cultural and sporting events in the country, including Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk and the 2nd European Games,” he said.
