Belarusian rowers, their coaches honored with state awards

MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) - Belarusian rowers and their coaches have been honored with state awards in recognition of productive work, professional excellence, a big personal contribution to the development of the sport, training of elite athletes and great achievements at world and European championships, the 2nd European Games. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed a corresponding decree on 28 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Medals for Labor Merits have been presented to coach and teacher of a subdivision of the Gomel State Olympic Training Center Mikhail Azemsha, senior coaches of the Belarusian national team Nikolai Banko and Gennady Galitsky, coaching athletes of the national team Maryna Litvinchuk and Volha Khudzenka.

The Honored Master of Sport of Belarus title has been conferred on coaching athlete of the national team Artsem Kozyr.

Aleksandr Lukashenko also signed an executive order to officially commend eight athletes in recognition of their professional excellence, outstanding results at international rowing competitions. The president also commended 15 coaches in recognition of their productive work, successful training of elite athletes, professional excellence, and a big contribution to ensuring high-quality medical and pharmaceutical care for members of the national team.
