MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated Asif Ali Zardari on his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"I am convinced that under your effective leadership, the country will remain a guarantor and engine of progress in the Asian region. Over the 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Belarus and Pakistan have achieved a high level of cooperation and have become true partners. I hope that with your support, the Belarusian-Pakistani dialogue will continue to develop successfully in all areas for the benefit of both peoples," the congratulatory message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Asif Ali Zardari good health and fruitful work in the responsible state post, and prosperity and peace to Pakistan.
