
MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) - In order to improve the state regulation of digital development, amendments have been made to Decree No.136 “On the state administration agency in the field of digital development and informatization" of 7 April 2022. Corresponding Decree No.200 was signed by Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 19 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document is designed to further regional digital development at the expense of local innovation funds. It expands the list of services provided by the sectoral digitalization offices and the Center for Digital Development to government bodies and organizations at the expense of budget funds, including planning of their digital development, support of information systems, and scaling of pilot projects.
Given the importance of digital development for the economy, the Belarusian prime minister shall supervise the Communications and Informatization Ministry and head the Supervisory Board of the High-Technology Park.
