MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) - Belarus expects to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at the July summit in Astana, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the media after his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Minsk on 24 May, BelTA has learned.
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, during the bilateral talks Vladimir Putin spoke in detail about his visit to China. Belarus also aims to develop an all-weather and all-round partnership with Beijing, the head of state emphasized.
“Belarusian-Chinese relations keeps developing every year. We expect to join this influential international organization at the SCO summit in Astana in July,” the Belarusian president said.
