
MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) - The State Committee for Standardization must ensure new requirements for goods and services and protect the domestic market, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he made new appointments on 4 March. Yelena Morgunova was re-appointed as head of the Belarusian State Committee for STandrdization, BelTA has learned.
“As for the State Committee for Standardization... We need modern requirements for products, services, tools, standardization. New requirements are needed. You know how to do it,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “The domestic market should be protected. This is the most important thing. We should not lose our market, no matter how big or small it is. We need to promote exports, replace imports through standardization tools.”
The president also urged to promote digital transformation to the extent necessary.
