MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated fellow Belarusians on Mother's Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
“This wonderful holiday is filled with the most sincere and tender feelings for those whose greatest calling is to give new life, protect and warm it with their love and care,” the message reads. “The joy and happiness of being a mother cannot be compared to anything else, it is a huge responsibility to raise a decent person, citizen and patriot. Mothers give us inexhaustible strength when we face difficulties, and multiply our joy when we achieve success. Selfless maternal love is our guide and guardian throughout life, it teaches us to love our Motherland, do good, respect national traditions,” the message continues.
Aleksandr Lukashenko addressed special words of gratitude to mothers of many children, women raising children with special needs, as well as foster mothers. “I bow before the strength of maternal feelings and your kind soul,” the Belarusian leader stressed.
The president thanked all mothers for their tireless and selfless work and daily concern for the future of their native Belarus, and also wished them and their loved ones good health, a peaceful sky, optimism and well-being.
