MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev as the country celebrates Republic Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Azerbaijan's robust economic growth, its key role in the region and growing influence in the international arena are indisputable evidence of the effectiveness of the policy you are pursuing to build a stable state that successfully defends its interests,” the message reads.
The president expressed confidence that the cooperation between Minsk and Baku, based on sincere friendship and mutually beneficial partnership, will grow stronger and expand with new promising projects and initiatives.
Aleksandr Lukashenko once again thanked Ilham Aliyev for the warm welcome in hospitable Azerbaijan and for the confidential, candid conversations during his recent visit. The head of state wished Ilham Aliyev and his family good health, happiness and success, and the people of Azerbaijan peace and prosperity.
