MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the personnel and veterans of the law enforcement on their professional holiday - Police Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Every day each of you stays at the forefront of the fight against crime, demonstrating loyalty to the country and its people, cherishing the glorious traditions established by law enforcement veterans,” the message reads.
The head of state emphasized that the events of last year exposed an important role of law enforcement agencies in maintaining stability in the society and ensuring safety of people. “That was one of the most challenging periods in the history of the Belarusian police. However, you managed to thwart the encroachments on the constitutional system of the state. You fulfilled your duty all the way through, demonstrating courage, perseverance and exceptional professionalism. You have shown yourselves as true patriots,” the president emphasized.
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that law enforcement personnel will continue doing everything possible to protect the legal foundations of the state and to eliminate the challenges and threats to the economy and peaceful life of Belarusians.
“Thank you for your conscientious, impeccable service. I wish you good health, happiness and well-being,” the head of state added.
