MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – A regular meeting of the expert group on the establishment of the Human Rights Commission of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held at the CIS headquarters in Minsk on 7 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The discussion took place via videoconferencing and involved representatives of the foreign ministries, justice ministries, commissioners for human rights of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.
The participants of the meeting discussed proposals on the draft provisions of the CIS Human Rights Commission.
The expert group will continue working on the draft provisions. The next expert review of the document will be held on 22 April.
