MOSCOW, 18 February (BelTA) – The commission on security, defense and crime prevention of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will discuss new programs and projects to be included in the Union State draft budget. The meeting will be held via a video link on 25 February, BelTA learned from the PA press service.
“In accordance with the instructions of the Parliamentary Assembly, the MPs will consider the development of new programs and projects of the Union State for inclusion in the Union State draft budget for the next period,” the press service informed. “The MPs will get familiar with the changes into the financing of the current programs, discuss the draft concepts of the programs in the field of security, defense and crime prevention. The MPs will also be briefed about the meeting of the joint collegium of the defense ministries of Belarus and Russia."
As part of the supervision over the implementation of the priorities of the further development of the Union State, the MPs will review the status of implementation of the 2017-2020 plan of action to develop the common migration space in the Union State.
Representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State and the Interior Ministries of Belarus and Russia have been invited to participate in the event.
