Union State MPs to hold next session in Belarus

MOSCOW, 22 December (BelTA) – The 56th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will take place in Belarus, First Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly, Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said as he closed the 55th session of the Union State parliament in Moscow on 22 December, BelTA has learned.

“A proposal has been put forward to arrange the next 56th session in Belarus,” Vladimir Andreichenko said. He added that the time and place of the event will be specified later by the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly.

The recent session in Moscow passed the Union State budget for 2019. Apart from that, the MPs adopted a series of other budget-related decisions, a plan of international activities and a schedule of work of the Parliamentary Assembly in 2019. The MPs were updated on the establishment and functioning of the common sci-tech space and the progress in abolishing roaming rates in the territory of the Union State.
