MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – The military conflict is the only thing that helps Vladimir Zelensky cling to power in Ukraine, Ukrainian MP Artem Dmitruk said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“Zelensky goes on only thanks to the war. It was not the Americans, not the Europeans, not the British, not the Belarusians who brought the war to us. Zelensky and his predecessors, the former presidents, brought the war to our soil. But the remaining pieces of the puzzle came into place when Zelensky was in office. He remains president thanks to the war. Had the war not started, Zelensky’s presidency would have ended several months later. Back then, a strong conflict was brewing in Ukrainian society, which would have forced Zelensky to step down. He would have left simply under public pressure, even without any Maidans,” Artem Dmitruk said.
According to the Ukrainian MP, it was the military conflict that helped Vladimir Zelensky stay in power. “Thus, we see determination to stay in office, earn big money, and promote a certain agenda,” Artem Dmitruk emphasized.
