MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) - The United States and Great Britain are making good money on the war hysteria around Ukraine, Ukrainian journalist and public figure Dmitry Vasilets said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
"Yet again we are seeing the escalation, the refusal to implement the Minsk agreements, which, in fact, equates to the refusal from part of the territory of Ukraine, which is a particularly grave crime in itself. Like the majority of the Ukrainian people, I believe that a war is disadvantageous for Russia and Ukraine. It is beneficial only to the United States, Great Britain, the aggressive military-political bloc of NATO," Dmitry Vasilets said.
These benefits are estimated at hundreds of billions of dollars, he noted. "We saw record sales of American liquefied gas to Europe during these months. They even exceeded Russian pipeline gas supplies. This hysteria is paying off for the United States, Great Britain, but definitely not for Ukraine," the journalist said.
